What Airports are included in the SMP2015-2050?
All of the Miami-Dade County Airports are included in this study. They are made up of the following Airports:
- Miami International Airport (MIA)
- Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport (TMB)
- Opa-locka Executive Airport (OPF)
- Homestead General Aviation Airport (X51)
- Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport (TNT)
How is the Study being funded?
The Aviation Department was able to secure state funding through a Joint Participation Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation to cover 50 percent of the study's costs. The remaining 50 percent will be funded with local funds from the Aviation Department.
How long will it take to complete the Study?
The Strategic Master Plan is a phased-approach study that started on April 29, 2009 and that will be completed on or before the end of FY 2014.
